Chuncheon City Tour & MBC Station

As suggested by KTO Singapore, I changed the rail biking destination from Jeongseon to Gangchon Rail Bike because it is easier to go to railbiking location. It also means that I'll be going back to the same place where we went on VIP trip.

Yongsan Station -> Chuncheon Station by ITX train.

It's a double-deck train, our seats were on upper deck. Let's go up!

To make the travelling less boring... gimbap on the train!

Chuncheon Station.

City Tour bus ticket can be purchased at Tourist Information Centre
beside Chuncheon Station.

Playing with snow while waiting for the bus in front of the station.

This brown color bus runs once on different route each day.

And this Hop-on Hop-off yellow bus is running on a circular course.

Our 1st stop - Gongji Stream (MBC).

Gongji stream or Mulle-Gil?

We just hopped off thinking that I might able to tour around MBC studio.

Chuncheon MBC (춘천 MBC)

MBC Chuncheon is a broadcast television station in Chuncheon, providing Entertainment, News, Sports and Documentaries. As part of the MBC network (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation), MBC Chuncheon airs MBC dramas, reality shows and national news, along with local news and information programming.

Chuncheon MBC aims to encourage the participation of the viewers and listeners. The TV station works hard to meet today's demands for more information as a leading player in the promotion of the folk culture and development of the local community.

Military Tank parked out MBC?!!

There were some posters including "She Was Pretty" (그녀는 예뻤다)
at the main entrance to the building.

But it's not open for public, so we could only walk around the site.

I would really love to work here! See!!! Such a beautiful and relaxing place.
I guess it must bea beautiful place to admire sunset too...

Love me, Love me, say that you love me~!^^

Fresh air and unblocked beautiful scenery of Gongji stream from the top.

Picture spot outside GS25!

These cute mascots promoting barehanded fishing at Hwacheon
Sancheoneo Ice Festival (얼음나라 화천산천어축제).

GS25 Convenience Store outside MBC.

It's snowing outside, so we'd a reason to grab some hot food for lunch...

and observing snow flakes falling from the sky. Hot & Cool, right?!

We bought food and drinks many times, but it's the
first time we had hot meals inside convenience shop.

Maybe question marks were written all over our faces.
The friendly storekeeper guiding and helping us to prepare
the food without asking. Thank you so much~!^^

[O-Train] - Railroad Trip from Seoul to Punggi

[Korea O-Train] Railroad trip from Seoul to Punggi | by Meheartseoul
Korea offers plenty of breathtaking scenery, though some of the region is less accessible than major cities due to its rugged geography. But, Korea never fails to win in tourism industry because they always provide visitors with lots of convenient options to access to their beautiful country.

On 12 April 2013, Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail)  introduced special railroads V-train and O-train to cater for tourists and locals to enjoy the spectacular views of mountains, cliffs and valleys along the ride.

S-train  also started its operation on 27 Sep 2013 for easier and more enjoyable ways to access the southern regions.

DMZ-train route will start operation on 4 May 2014. Korail will launch more tourism-specialized trains such as G-train for the Western coast, and B-train for the Eastern coast, which are currently in their pipeline.

Our V-train and O-train routes plan.
Check this link for full V-train and O-train time schedules.

So sad that we only took O-train, as V-train tickets were sold out. I couldn't changed our schedule as I'd booked hotel on the respective destinations. Do secure your seat earlier to avoid disappointment, as they are really popular not only for tourists, but locals also love to travel with their family and friends.

The O-train, whose name is derived from the round shape of the letter “O” to suggest its circular route, stops by 13 stations including Yeongwol, Mindongsan, Chujeon, Taebaek, Cheoram, Buncheon, Bonghwa, Yeongju, Punggi, Danyang, and Jecheon.

The train circulates four times a day with two runs going clockwise and another two in the opposite direction. It takes four hours and 50 minutes to compete the entire 257.2-kilometer loop through Gangwon-do (Gangwon Province), Gyeongsangbuk-do (North Gyeongsang Province), and Chungcheongbuk-do (North Chungcheong Province).

Do take note on arrival and departure time of each station. Don't miss the train, especially if your belongings still inside the train! Most of the stations only stop for 1-2 minutes. Only transfer stations (Jecheon & Yeongju), and breathtaking panoramic views from Chujeon station stop for about 10 minutes.
