Museom Village (영주 무섬마을) is one famous tourist spots in Yeongju, especially after Korean Drama 'Love Rain' (사랑비) was aired. A melodrama about how people express their love in the 1970s and in 2012...
As I mentioned earlier, there's no internet connection in Yeongju area. Luckily, I saved all my important files and documents in my phone photo folder. I printed only those places that we confirmed to visit. Still have a lot of places to visit in my waiting list :P
It took me almost 10 minutes to search the address written in Hanguel. Then quickly showed it to the driver, as he's driving us to Seonbichon. He immediately nodded his head and told us he knew the place, there is 나무다리 there! (헐~! scratching my head... did I pronounce it wrongly?!)
Ok, we finally reached the village after about 1 hour ride from Punggi Ginseng Rib Restaurant...

Single Log Bridge (무섬외나무다리)
Single Log Bridge, which was the village’s only connection to the outside world
for over 350 years before the construction of Sudo Bridge in 1979.
Tiny bridge with 30 cm width and stretches for over 150 m.
I think they purposely built it in S-shape instead of
straight line to give more aesthetically in view...
The bridge rebuilt annually as it's being destroyed after each rainy season.
The Museom Single-Log Bridge is one of the 100 most beautiful paths of Korea
selected by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs.
Check the link for cool photos of Single Log Bridge Festival (무섬외나무다리축제)
in October to celebrate the bridge’s impressive history annually.
Shallow clear water and fine sand...
No worry... the worst you'll get a bit wet if you fall down :P
Can you see the man standing on another single log
and let the woman walk first?
This is a wider platform at the middle of the bridge to cater
more people crossing from another direction...
We walked from Museom village as our taxi was parked in the village...
Imagine myself as a villager and walk barefoot, as if as
walking on the beach (well, but not in winter season) :P
Typical Korean melon-shaped hut (원두막) opposite the village...
Rest and enjoy the village scenery ^^
Kids happily playing seesaw~~~
We didn't see any foreigners, only a group of local...
they're walked from the village and left the village shortly after that.
And we're crossing the bridge back to
Museom Hanok Village (to be continued...)
Please stay tuned~! ^^
