As usual, I love taking city tour buses as they are a convenient way to get to the lesser-known areas outside of the major cities in Korea.
Tourist Information Centre and Incheon City Tour Bus Stop.
City Tour Bus will keep all your troubles away! Their routes are designed
for tourists and locals so they can easily access any must-visit place.
Songdo Convensia & Coastal Ferry Terminal.
You can just alight at the destination of your choice. I will usually rank the places and will sometimes revisit the places that were not a priority if we have extra time.
G-Tower (G타워) is one of the landmark buildings in Songdo.
It's strategically located at Songdo International Business District in Yeonsu district.
This skyscraper building houses the IFEZ (Incheon Free Economic Zone)
headquarters, and several United Nations
offices.
There's a sky garden (하늘정원) on the 29th floor which is only open on weekdays.
The observation deck on the 33rd floor is open for the public.
There are self-guided tours, VR and history of Songdo.
We got a 360-degree bird's eye view of the panoramic Central Park
and the nearby International Business District.
It's was such a coincidence that on the same day, SBS was there to shoot
"The Good Witch" (착한마녀전).
The scene was taking place at the lobby which was the
headquarters of Donghae Air. Life-size standees of Lee Da Hee
who acted as Cha Sun-Hee and Cha Do-Hee were there too.
We missed the Tour bus as were watching the filming.
Of course, this isn't the only drama that was filmed there. The tower was also featured in Secret Boutique; The K2 and She Was Pretty (2015) and Descendants of the Sun (태양의 후예) where Yoo Shi-jin is shot at this building that appeared as ‘Seoul Hotel’ by a North Korean when guarding the venue for the second special ‘North-South Meeting’.
We walked along this river to Hosu 1 Bridge (호수1교),
Tri-Bowl, Central Park and NC Cube. To be continued...
