[Suncheon] - Suncheon Open Film Set (순천 드라마촬영장)

Circuit Breaker oh Circuit Breaker~! I've been working from home for 1 week and will to do so for another 3 weeks until CB is lifted. You might think it must be more relaxing WFH, but the fact is it's not because I've lots of new things to do, follow up and redo because they have been postponed or to wait for instruction to proceed. The timing was just so wrong! It's so exhausting to start work from 8 o'clock in the morning and end around 7 to 9 o'clock at night. Typically, I can still enjoy my luxurious 1-hour lunch break, but tragically even that has been stolen and I must wolf down my food in a hurry to return to work.

Today is Saturday, so got time to scroll down my Facebook... memories from 2 years back popped up in my timeline. I really miss those places and the beautiful cherry blossoms in Korea. But at the same time, I feel guilty for not having completed my blogging even after 2 years.

It means that I only blogged about the first 5 days out of my 9 days in Korea and 4 days in China. Despite being incredibly late, let me continue with Day-6 in Suncheon.

Took KTX from Tongyeong to Suncheon and immediately went to KTO office
to deposit our luggage as we will go to Seoul after joining Suncheon City Tour Day Trip.

Our 1st stop was Suncheon Open Film Set (순천 드라마촬영장).

Suncheon Open Film Set is the largest film set in Korea.
It's open to the public to explore with a small admission fee.

  These K-dramas: Love Rain; Baker King Kim Tak Goo;

and movies that I watched: A Werewolf Boy and Gangnam Blues
were also filmed here.

You might be wondering if the films were really taken in the same place
because the settings look like they are from different eras.

This huge filming location made up of three villages consists of over
200 various buildings, houses, stores and streets.
Together, they represent the different time periods from 1960 to 1980 of Korean life.

You can take photos in many photo zones where some dramas and movies were filmed.
But I took too many photos and now I don't know how to select them for this post.

Some of the visitors rent high school uniforms at the shop next to the classroom.
The classroom setting is really nice for photoshoots...

We found a tavern selling some food like gimbap, kimchi pancake,
sundae, snacks, tidbits and drinks.

We ordered these odeng fish cakes and drinks

and rested our aching legs in the tavern before continuing on our journey...

These are just a small fraction of the overwhelming number of photos in my collection.
