[Jinhae] - Jehwangsan Park (제황산공원)

Lucky that the taxi driver waited for us at Korea Naval Academy, else we might have problem to get a taxi back from there.

We asked him to drop us here because supposedly we wanted to take the Jinhae City Tour Bus from   Stream.

 Jehwangsan Park (제황산공원) Monorail Station.

Another option to go to the park which is climbing the stairs.

If our taxi driver didn't tell us that there are 365 steps flight of stairs, we might not know that it's endless stairs. Yes, just thinking of it is already causing me to sweat!!!

With the information, we didn't want to climb half way and
change our mind as it's about 90 m to the top of the mountain.

Ok, let's just take Monorail since it's just KRW 3,000 for round trip.

Wow... it's quite steep and kinda scary especially I'm facing down but
luckily it only took around 2 minutes to reach the summit!

First you'll notice when you reach the park is 9-storey Jinhae Tower.

This 28m tower looks like Korean Naval Warship was built in 1967
which symbolized Jinhae as Naval Port on the Southwest Coast of  Korea.

Originally, the Japanese erected a monument in 1927 at this place to commemorate their victory in Rusia - Japan war. It was removed when Korea was liberated from Japanese colonial rule in 1945.

On the 1st and 2nd floor of the tower, you can find Jinhae City Museum,
exhibiting artifacts and cultural assets, relics excavated from Jinhae.

Photo on the left was Yeojwacheon Stream in 1930 before facelift.
And on the right is the current lively and populat tourist attraction

after the area was planted with cherry blossom trees.

The Tower also have the observation deck allowing you to have
360 degree of bird's eye view of downtown Jinhae.

Perfect pictureaque photo with sunray bathing the sea!

Can you see the rotary at the middle of the town?
We walked back from here to Yeojwacheon Stream.

Hours of operation: Summer (9:00~20:00), Winter(9:00~18:00),
Gunhangje Festival (9:00~22:00)

It was the last day of Cherry Blossom Festival in 2018.
Annyeong my pretty cherry flowers~!^^

There are a lot of stalls selling food and other items
during the Gunhangje Festival.

Too spoilt with choices until we didn't know what to eat.

Booths providing Wheelchair and Baby Stroller,
sign language translation and tourist information
are scatter around! Excellent!

We had early dinner as we didn't have proper lunch.
Korean Fried Chiken (Original + Yangnyeom)

Supposed to be Chimaek (Chicken + Maekju), but we had soju instead.
곰배 (Gombae / Cheers)~!!!

After dinner, we strolled back to Yeojwacheon because it's never enough
seeing the flowing petals and another reason was it's illuminated at night~!
Must be very beautiful and romantic, right?

[Jinhae] - Jinhaeru Pavilion (진해루)

We hopped on Jinhae Cherry Blossom Tour Bus again after donned myselfwith free Hanbok rented from Yeojwacheon Stream.

 Jinhaeru Pavilion (진해루).

We alighted at Jinhae Pavilion although we didn't see others people get down from the bus. Not sure what to expect or do here, just that I love Korean Pavilion and would like to see Jinhae-ru.

This picturesque pavilion is located in Jinhae Beach Park.

As you can guess from the Pavilion name ending with 'ru', Jinhaeru is a giant
and beautiful gable roof pavilion with  a gross surface floor area of
477 square meters and stands 15.2m tall.

It offers unobstructed exquisite view of Jinhae coastline...
and mountainous Anmingogae Hill (안민고개) lined with
pinkish Cherry Blossom scenery on the other side.

Who said you can't have best of both worlds?!
In fact, we have more here...

As you know, I don't really like walking. I usually cycling from my home to
Pasir Ris Station which only takes half of the walking time.

I was thinking to rent the bikes as we saw a lot of bikes parked nearby the bus stop.

After we checked, it's actually free and you only need to write your particulars.
They'll keep your passport or ID card and you'll get them back when you return the bike.

They worried that I might having difficulty riding the bike in Hanbok.
But, I assured them that I'm perfectly fine by test riding in front of them.

Well, I do pedalling in skirt almost everyday... so no problem at all~!^^

Ok, let's take a look around this park...

There's a convineince store at the the building with turtle ship shape.

And amazing kid's playground with few small games
inside and different slides from the turle ship.

 Must-visit attractions in Jinhae!

Jinhae Marine Adventure (진해마린어드벤처), but it was closed.

Why do I look so 2D in comparision to the picture? Weird...

Really recommend this place as it has a lot of activities to do with
family or friends. I think it's nice to visit in the evening too!

Moving Boat at Yongji Lake (무빙보트 용지호수공원)

Min Jung Eonni helped us to select the most recommended places to visit in Changwon, Jinhae and Masan after we showed her our itinerary.

One of them is Yongji Lake Park (용지호수공원).

We took taxi from Gyeonghwa Station to this park since we missed
the last Jinhae City Tour Bus and this park is near to our hotel.

Yongji is a manmade lake which surrounded by urban park.

Situated in the heart of the city, this park is new tourist attractions
and frequented by the local residents.

Angel's Wing, another photo spot at this park with
water promenade as the background.

This area serves as venue for a wide range of art festivals and a lotus lantern festival.

Beautiful night view from waterfront.

The fountain installed in the Yongji Lake is 12m in diameter with
elevation of 20m which presents 13 stunning water displays.

There are artificial giant full moon and smaller crescent moon placed there too.
The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing.

This paper moon is illuminated with changing color at night
creating gorgeous reflection on the lake.

Moving boats started operating since September 2017
which blend perfectly with the lake and park.

With this fantastic laser light, musical fountain and riding on the moving boat
it makes sense that it's one of favorite attactions in Changwon.

Neon Light Moving Boat operating from 10:00 am to 22:00 pm.

Rental fee for 30 mins is 20,000 or 60 mins for 30,000 Won.
Additional 5,000 Won per person if exceeded 4 person.

We assumed that we need to pedal for the boat to move,
and we didn't know that there's a musical fountain there too.

Blaming the weather as it's still so cold which the temperature
should not be so low as it's spring already...
Therefore, we just rented the boat for 30 mins to go around the lake.

Life jackets were provided and the staff guided us to the boat and
told us how to navigate the boat. It's not difficult and safe
because it's moving slowly... It's not a speed boat~!

Not familiar with the place, we just crossed to the opposite road because it seemed lively with bright lights from the lake.

There are some stores, restaurants and cafes there...

We walked around, but couldn't decide what to eat...

Actually wanted to go back to Green House Bakery & Cafe, but quite lazy to make a big turn back. We ended up just went to Angel-in-Us Coffee...

Our simple dinner for the night...
